VAS works closely with key partners for the benefit of the TSI Network.
NHS Health Scotland
We work with NHS Health Scotland to support their engagement with the third sector. We’ve worked particularly on engaging the third sector on the integration of health and social care and on the sector contribution to tackling health inequalities.
GIRFEC
The national Third Sector GIRFEC Project is a unique Public Social Partnership (PSP) between Barnardos Scotland, Voluntary Action Scotland and the Improvement Service, with support from other third sector partners, including the Coalition of Care and Support Providers in Scotland (CCPS) and the Scottish Government.
Our Projects aims to Promote, Support & Collaborate, across the third sector to:
- Delivery of support to develop or strengthen local third sector engagement infrastructure to raise awareness about and enable effective participation and representation in children’s services planning, e.g. voluntary sector children’s forums.
- Delivery of local workshops aimed at third sector organisations on a range of themes and using tools developed by the project, including: understanding wellbeing, aligning outcomes to wellbeing, using the third sector touch-points.
- Organisation and delivery of networking and learning events for stakeholders within Children’s Services, including third sector providers, community groups and statutory partners working with children and young people.
We support the network of TSIs to connect to the project and to support their local third sector in developing work around Getting It Right For Every Child and in improving the connections with local Children’s Services Planning.
Making Quality Count
This Quality Scotland programme is aimed to embed a sustainable approach to quality improvement enabling the TSIs to improve their services to their clients and member organisations and ultimately achieve better outcomes with their communities.
